The band kicked off their U.S. tour in early August in Raleigh, North Carolina, after initially announcing a series of concerts that were set to end on September 12 in Sparks, Nevada. However, the tour has since grown significantly. The complete list of dates, cities and venues can be found below, with more information available on Deep Purple’s official website.

This news comes as a surprise following vocalist Ian Gillan’s hints last November about a possible retirement, citing vision problems that could mean the end is “close.” Gillan revealed he only sees 30 percent but is adapting: “The hardest thing is working on a laptop. I can’t see anything on the screen unless I use my peripheral vision. I pick up a line by looking at it sideways – but you find a way. You adapt.”

Splat! is the follow-up to 2024’s *=1*, and the band used the break to complete a new studio project. Bassist Roger Glover confirmed they hadn’t been idle: “This was a welcome break because we’d been working hard for several years. I think it was good to actually rest.”

They are joined on tour by special guests Kansas and Jefferson Starship. The album Splat! became their fifth recent collaboration with producer Bob Ezrin to reach the Top 20 charts in the United Kingdom, reports Ultimate Classic Rock.
